The Effectiveness of Group Logotherapy on Resiliency, Depression and Quality of Life in Elderly

Introduction: Aging is a biological process that is associated with many changes in the personal and family context and presents many challenges for individuals. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of Frankl group logic therapy on resiliency, depression and quality of life in the elderly.
Method: The present study was conducted in terms of the nature of the research, its implementation, and the method of collecting semi-experimental data with a pre-test post-test design with control group. The statistical population of the study included all elderly women and men in the elderly care centers of Karaj. The sample of the study was 30 of those who were selected through purposeful sampling and were divided into two groups (15 subjects) and control (15 people). The data were collected using the World Health Organization Quality of Life Questionnaire, Conver and Davidson Resiliency Questionnaire and Beck Depression Inventory. Data were analyzed by descriptive methods (mean and standard deviation) and inferential statistics (multivariate covariance analysis) using statistical software spss v.23 was analyzed and analyzed.
Results: The results of the data analysis indicated that group logarithm has a positive and significant effect on quality of life and resilience and has reduced depression in the experimental group in the post-test stages.
Conclusion: Considering these findings, group therapy can be used to increase the mental health of the elderly.
