A huge ovarian mucinous cystadenoma in a postmenopausal woman: a case report

Ovarian masses can be seen at all ages. Cyst adenoma and ovarian mucinous cysts are among the most benign ovarian masses that make up 15% of ovarian masses on average. These masses are associated with various complications in affected women. Postmenopausal women are also susceptible to ovarian masses if there is ovarian tissue. In the present study, a 65-year-old postmenopausal patient with complaints of leg edema for several years was subjected to the necessary investigations, and finally, all her cardio-renal examinations and tests were normal, and the final diagnosis was mucinous cyst adenoma of the right ovary. It was confirmed. Considering that leg edema was the main complaint of the above patient, it is recommended that all women with warning signs of ovarian masses, including leg edema, undergo ovarian tissue examination.
