<abstract>
 Introduction: Different factors such as decrease in physical activity led to decrease in balance and flexibility of various muscles in older adults. However, having good balance and flexibility as a health-related fitness factors in the elderly is particularly important.
Method: This research was semi-experimental and its statistical population was 60-70 years old inactive elderly women who spent their free time at parks, cultural centers and other recreational places in Hamedan. The research’s samples included 30 elderly women who were randomly divided into two control and experimental groups. Control group (15 individuals) performed their daily activities, and experimental group performed 45 minutes aerobic exercise with moderate-intensity, such as jogging or walking with exercise intensity of 60% of maximum heart rate for 6 weeks, 3 sessions per week. To measure static balance, Sharpand Romberg test was used, and to measure dynamic balance, balance beam with 4.5 meter length 10 cm width and 10 cm height was used. To measure flexibility, the flexibility ducts was used. To compare pre-test and post-test of dependent variables, paired t-test was used and to compare post-test between two groups, independent t-test was used.
Results: The findings showed that in experimental group that performed 6 weeks of aerobic exercise such as walking or running with exercise intensity of 60% of maximum heart rate, there was a significant difference between pre-test and post-test in static balance (p=0.001), dynamic balance (p=0.000) and flexibility (p=0.000).However this difference for three variables in control group was not significant (p>0.05).
Conclusion: It can be concluded that elderly women can improve their balance and flexibility with walking or jogging.

 <abstract>
 Introduction: Today increased life expectancy is not merely a sign of development, but life quality of the elderly and the role of social factors in its promotion should be also taken into account. This study is intended to investigate the role of social support on the quality of life of the elderly in the city of Mashhad.
Method: In this study a survey method was adopted and the data were collected by questionnaire. Accordingly, the quality of life was measured by F36 standard questionnaire and social support was assessed by Philips standard questionnaire. The population consisted of all senior citizens over 65 years in mashhad and a sample size of 265 subjects was selected. A combination of stratified cluster samplings method were used for this purpose and data were selected from 9 neighborhoods in the city of Mashhad in the year 2014. Moreover, data analysis was conducted using SPSS 16 software, regression tests, Pearson correlation and mean comparison.
Results: The mean score of quality of life for the elderly was 52.64 with the subscale of social functioning scoring higher than other subscales. Also, the average total score for social support was 49.65 with the subscale of emotional support (mean score= 64.87) obtaining the highest score. The results of mean comparison indicated a significant association between two variables of quality of life and gender so that male elderly had a significantly higher quality of life compared to their female counterpart (P =0.000).
Also, there was a significant difference only in physical dimension of quality of life (P=0.000) with men displaying better physical quality of life compared to women. There was no significant relationship between general social support and gender. Among the dimensions of social support, there was a significant difference between men and women in terms of information support (P=0.000). Finally, social support and its dimensions had a significant effect on the quality of life of the elderly so that they explained 35% of variation in the quality of life. In this regard, emotional support had the greatest effect on the life quality of the elderly.
Conclusion: Emotional support had the dramatic effect on the quality of life of older adults, but it should be noted that because of special social, economic and physical status, they also require other types of support such as instrumental and informational support

Results: After training, no significant differences were found in body composition variables, TG, TC, HDL-C, LDL-C, glucose, insulin, insulin resistance and blood pressure between two groups.
Conclusion: The results showed that ten weeks of combined training with moderate intensity has no significant effect on body composition, lipids levels and indicators of metabolic syndrome in overweight and obese postmenopausal women. This may be due to inadequate intensity and duration of training for favorable changes in measured variables.

 <abstract>
 Introduction: Retirement and old age often creates a symmetry time together and bring some changes in the mental and physical aspects including marital satisfaction, family functioning and the spouse’s perception of sacrificing behavior. The present study aims to explore the relationship between the perception of spouse’s sacrificing behavior and family functioning and marital satisfaction in the elderly retired nurses of Tehran.
Method: In this descriptive correlational study, 218 people were selected by multistage cluster sampling out of all elderly retired nurses of Tehran. Data were collected by using Sacrifice Measure Figuerres, Family Assessment Device Epstein & et al, and Marital Satisfaction Haynes questionnaires. Data were analyzed by the software SPSS version 19 and Pearson correlation test as well as regression analysis.
Results: The study suggests a significant positive relationship between the perception of spouse’s sacrificing behavior and family functioning and marital satisfaction as well as between the family functioning and the perception of spouse’s sacrificing behavior (P<0.001). The regression analysis revealed that the perception of spouse’s sacrificing behavior and family functioning may predict the marital satisfaction.
Conclusion: These results emphasize that the spouse’s perception of sacrificing behavior and family functioning leads to increased marital satisfaction in the elderly retired nurses.

 <abstract>
 Introduction: Despite the importance of exercise and physical activity on the health of elderly, the amount o physical activity (exercise) among this vulnerable class of society is declining. This study was conducted with the aim of identifying the determinants of the implementation of physical activities in the older adults in Tehran.
Method: This Study was a qualitative design and carried out using Grounded theory methodology. Data was collected via semi-structured in-depth interviews and field notes. Data collection was conducted in the year 2015. Thirty elderly and 10 sport experts were interviewed were interviewed. Analyzing of the data was carried out with the Corbin and Strauss (2008) approach.
Results: Concepts of the study were identified using micro and macro analysis. In during of data analysis, 350 free codes related to elderly' physical activity were extracted and classified into three categories, 200 of which were assigned to barrios and 150 to motivators. These categories were environmental factors, interpersonal factors, and intrapersonal factors.
Conclusion: Compared to quantitative studies, this study managed to identify the determinants of the implementation of physical activities in elderly in a better and deeper way. By identifying the motivators and barriers to the implementation of physical activity in elderly, those in charge of providing sports services to the elderly can facilitate elderly ' participation in physical activities by exploiting the motivators and removing the barriers and improve the physical and mental health of the elderly because of this increased participation.
